What’s Field Eric?
Built from a very familiar Monday morning problem.
Field Eric is a small football app for a very familiar problem: someone has a pitch booked, a match half-filled, and a group chat full of maybes.
The original idea goes back to 2012, inspired by Kros’ constant nagging and Monday morning panic to find players for the weekly Għ. F. Fondgħadir (est. 1996) match.
Three brilliant engineers once set out to build a potentially ground-breaking product. Unfortunately, they were mostly interested in eating hot dogs and drinking rum at El Comandante behind Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, so the first version never quite made it.
Fourteen years later, the problem is still here. Field Eric is back: still built with humour, still for casual football, and still trying to help people plan some, play some.
