Terms of Use.

1. What Field Eric is

Field Eric is a platform for creating, discovering, and managing casual football matches.

Organizers can create match listings. Players can request to join matches. Field Eric helps with coordination, but it does not run, supervise, or control the matches themselves.

2. Age requirement

Field Eric is currently only available to people aged 18 or over.

This is because Field Eric helps people arrange in-person football matches. Supporting minors would require additional safeguards, including parental consent, child-safety protections, moderation processes, and other measures that Field Eric does not currently provide.

These safeguards may be required under laws and regulations such as the GDPR, Malta’s child data protection rules, the EU Digital Services Act, and child safeguarding laws.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, organize a match, request to join a match, or communicate with other users through Field Eric.

By creating an account or using Field Eric, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Organizers must not create matches intended for minors or invite under-18 players through Field Eric.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account secure.

You must not impersonate another person, create misleading profiles, or use another person’s account without permission.

We may suspend or remove accounts if we believe they violate these Terms, create a safety risk, or misuse the service.

4. Match organizers

If you create a match, you are responsible for making sure the match details are accurate, including the time, location, format, number of players needed, price, and any other relevant information.

You are also responsible for communicating clearly with players and managing attendance fairly.

Field Eric does not guarantee that players will attend, that organizers will accept requests, or that match details will not change.

5. Players

If you request to join or attend a match, you are responsible for deciding whether the match, venue, organizer, and other players are suitable for you.

You should only attend matches that you feel comfortable joining.

If you can no longer attend a match, you should let the organizer know as soon as possible.

6. In-person activity and risk

Football is a physical activity and involves risk of injury.

You are responsible for your own fitness, health, safety, equipment, travel, and conduct when attending a match.

Field Eric does not supervise matches, inspect venues, verify every user, or guarantee the safety, quality, legality, or availability of any match.

7. Payments

Some matches may include a price or contribution shown by the organizer.

Unless Field Eric explicitly provides a payment feature, any payment arrangements are made directly between users. Field Eric is not responsible for cash payments, refunds, cancellations, no-shows, or disputes between organizers and players.

If Field Eric adds payments in the future, additional payment terms may apply.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Field Eric to:

• harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate another person
• discriminate against others
• impersonate someone else
• post false or misleading match information
• exploit, groom, or endanger another person
• invite or involve minors
• spam users or misuse the service
• break the law
• interfere with the security or operation of Field Eric

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or take other action if we believe someone is misusing Field Eric or creating risk for others.

9. Content and information you provide

You are responsible for the content and information you provide through Field Eric.

You should not post anything that is illegal, abusive, misleading, private, or that you do not have the right to share.

By posting match details or profile information, you allow Field Eric to display that information as needed to operate the service.

10. Availability of the service

Field Eric is still being developed. The service may change, break, be unavailable, or be discontinued.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

11. Limitation of responsibility

Field Eric is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the extent permitted by law, Field Eric is not responsible for injuries, losses, disputes, no-shows, cancellations, venue issues, user conduct, or other problems arising from matches organized through the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under laws that cannot be excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Field Eric develops.

If we make significant changes, we may notify users through the app or by other reasonable means.
